Are you starting to think about your goals for 2020? While there are always the big goals to consider- to lose 10 pounds, exercise more, or start a new hobby- sometimes, the small day-to-day adjustments can make just as much of an impact on your year!

Here are some attainable resolutions (and just life changes!) to tackle in 2020.

1. Add more Colorful Produce to your Grocery Cart

This simple adjustment in your grocery shopping will add more vegetables and fruit to your grocery cart- in turn, you’ll start cooking with and eating this produce and reap the health benefits from it!

2. Book your Dentist and Doctor Appointments for the Whole Year ahead of Time

This is a simple life hack that will help alleviate the stress of calling multiple times to make an appointment, and it will keep you organized and on track for a healthy year!

3. Plan for a Vacation

Being on a vacation has major health benefits- reduced stress, anxiety, and depending on where you go- an increase in Vitamin D. But did you know simply planning and looking forward to a vacation has health benefits? Having something to look forward to-whether it’s an all out Bora Bora hiatus or a simple getaway to the North Shore will surely motivate you in your business and otherwise!

4. De-Clutter your Home

Most people want a clean home…but clutter is keeping them from getting there. Take a day to de-clutter your home, and it will make all the difference in the year ahead! Additionally, the less clutter you have, the easier it is to stay on top of your chores!

5. Spend less time on your Phone

This is a hard one for most of us- especially in the real estate industry! However, the happiest people spend the least amount of time on their phones! If you aren’t working, try to limit your screen time each day. Instead of being glued to Instagram, make it a goal to being present with family and friends.

6. Keep your Goal under wraps until it’s completed!

Finally, our last piece of advice is to actually keep your goals quiet until they are completed! Confide in a friend or family member about your goals, but before sharing it on Facebook, focus on finishing the goal! Dr. Oz says that, “Some research shows that telling others your goal makes you feel like you’ve already achieved it.” Instead of sharing about what you WILL do, share about it after or when you have made progress towards the goal!
